NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting of the CivicInfo BC Society will be hosted online at 11:00am (PDT) on Monday June 24, 2024. The meeting is expected to last approximately 30 minutes.

Anyone from a CivicInfo BC member organization is welcome to attend, and must RSVP by completing the form below.

Prior to the AGM, those who have RSVP'd will receive a link to access the meeting, along with an AGM information package. Please RSVP by Friday June 21, 2024.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL RESOLUTION

In accordance with the Bylaws of the CivicInfo BC Society ("the Society") and the Societies Act of British Columbia, the Society hereby gives notice to members that a Special Resolution to amend the Bylaws of the Society will be submitted for consideration and approval at the Annual General Meeting to be held on June 24th, 2024.  

The Society’s Board of Directors and staff have reviewed the organization’s bylaws, seeking to identify omissions, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.  Accordingly, the Special Resolution seeks amendments related to the Board of Directors election process, terms of office for Directors, and the voting process at General Meetings. The Special Resolution is available for download here as Appendix A to this notice.

NOTICE OF ELECTION

Elections for the CivicInfo BC Board of Directors will be held during the Annual General Meeting on June 24th, 2024.  The Board of Directors consists of nine positions including a President (Chair), Vice-President (Vice-Chair), Treasurer, and up to six Directors at Large.

ELIGIBILITY TO VOTE AT THE AGM

Each Regular Member organization is entitled to one vote. This vote may be cast by a person authorized to vote on behalf of the member organization. All voting will be conducted online, with instructions given to those in attendance.
